"Lattice" Tansu Step Chest

Originally an actual stairway used in traditional Japanese homes, our Japanese Tansu chest is double sided and can be used facing either direction.

It has lattice sliding doors to accomodate a mini Hi-Fi and has two additional side opening storage cabinets and eight drawers, the larger of which can fit CD's and DVD's.

Perfect as a display piece against the corner of a room or a stunning room divider. 

Traditionally hand crafted, made from Dark Elm wood and with a clear lacquered glossy polished finish.

The decorative locks, hinges and hardware are made from solid brass and tinted a charcoal grey.
