About our furniture

All our pieces of furniture are made with solid wooden frames - providing durability and a quality, robust feel - and are finished in your choice of weave and fabric cushions. Depending on the design of the unit, bases are either steel sprung or made from rubber webbing, whilst longer sofas also benefit from additional supporting legs in the center.

About Water Hyacinth
 
Water hyacinth (Eicchornia crassipes) is a prolific free floating aquatic plant which up until now has long menaced the water ways of Thailand and other South East Asia nations. It has the ability to double in just two weeks, forming a mesh on the river surface choking aquatic life, blocking dams and making fishing and irrigation impossible. Large amounts of public money are spent each year in the countries affected to remove water hyacinth plants from the water to eradicate this water pollution.

The plants are dried and smooth, soft textured ropes are then plaited onto durable, hardwood frames. This converts this natural material into beautiful furniture pieces providing an excellent eco-friendly solution.
